Witchayanon, who finished runner-up to compatriot Sadom Kaewkanjana last year, got the better of his national teammate this time around. He shot a final round 73 to finish on 16-under 272, five shots ahead of defending champion Sadom, who concluded with a 70 and 277 total. Witchayanon and Sadom also combined to give Thailand the team title on Friday. "Although I didn't play as well as I did in the third round, where I shot a course record, overall it was good enough to win." The Thai contingent also ruled last year's event with four players finishing in the top five.
